What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Looks a bit like I have dropped a bag of loose beads, but I know from experience they don’t land in such neat designs.

Project for today is to print a selection of Christmas quilt designs and make a banner to hang in a window.

Love the first design for today … and part of the reason is that there is a lot of space for quilting.

Still some space for quilting, some rather intricate tangle of beads to play with and my favourite for today.

Change the colours and it would be a lovely all year round quilt.

I like the first design, and can see that there is room for some quilting.

The second design has less room for quilting, but more colourful beading.

Christmas lights!

Perhaps the beads should be white and gold on a dark background … that sounds good to me, good enough to see what it looks like! Still time to get it done before Christmas.

The making one of these is much more enticing since the introduction of fusible webbing, and scan and cutting machines. The hardest decision is will I do the stitching by hand or machine.

Love the outer row of blocks in the second design!

The first design almost looks like flashing lights.

I need more strings of beads to drape around a Christmas tree! Great replacement for tinsel.

Needs some quilting lines added, but being Christmas Eve there are a few other things to fill in my day … maybe by next Christmas!

I am always amazed how many ways one small shape can be repeated to create unique designs.

What if I draw tree outlines with the green beads, and add red decorations? Sounds like fun if I can find time in the next year!

Back to my stash of designs which have been in storage like the Christmas decorations, but then the second available design needed some work … just like some of the decorations when they come out of storage.

Now it looks more like the fireworks of new years eve instead of Christmas …

… but I love it!

Needs some quilting though!

Next year’s project perhaps!
